We are in active recruitment for a Polymer Science Engineerevaluate existing material performance and develop new material formulations to meet current business objectives. Involved in developing new machinery and processes, supporting new product launches, etc. Including working with composite materials, plastics, and polymers.

Essential Functions

  • Analyze and Optimize production methods for foamed PVC and HDPE sheet and profile extrusion lines.
  • Determine methods to reduce raw material and manufacturing costs in all departments.
  • Review new product plans and make recommendations for material selection based on best total cost objectives.
  • Conduct experiments to periodically qualify new raw materials as viable alternatives to existing raw materials.
  • Plan and evaluate new projects; consult with other engineers, outside consultants and corporate executives as necessary throughout the project time frame.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of in-process and field return failures.
  • Research and introduce new materials, technologies and equipment to enhance the quality of all products.
  • Perform basic business functions, such as preparing proposals and budgets, analyzing labor costs, and writing reports when required. 


  • B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer/Plastics, or Materials Engineering Required
  • 2+ years of PVC experience
  • Three to seven years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in polymeric materials analysis is required.
  • Experience in project leadership, supervisory capabilities desirable.
